HEAVEN’S’ HEART is the prayer warrior’s hand tool.

As a child I began praying for my mother and father to receive God’s free gift of eternal salvation by accepting Jesus as their personal savior.

  After 40 years of pleading, preaching and praying the answer to my failed attempts came to me. Their hearts were hardened to the truth of God.

  For years I have trained my children to offer up praise and thanksgiving to God first thing in the morning as their first fruits of each day.  For us that turned out to be in the car on the way to school each morning.

  One morning during devotions my youngest daughter Alyssa and I began praying for people we knew who hadn’t accepted God’s gift of salvation.

  When we came to my Mom and Dad’s name the passion for their eternal souls welled up inside of me.  I was tired of their stubborn hard hearts.  I began asking God to soften their hearts to the spirit of truth... And in that moment of passion “Heaven’s’ Heart” was born.

  Alyssa and I began lifting our hand up to God kneading it like a piece of clay. We prayed “Lord, this is my mother’s heart; Betty Jane Capwill; soften her heart to the spirit of truth. Lord, this is my father’s heart; Alfred Basil Capwill; soften his heart to the spirit of truth.”

  We did this each morning with those imaginary hearts. Increasing the kneading and intensifying the prayers, whatever it takes Lord. We were determined to pray until the spirit of truth penetrated these hearts of flesh.

  The very next time I visited my parents (on the East Coast) I popped the question.  For the first time in over 40 years they both responded “Yes”.   God gave me another sibling with a “yes” from my brother Walter.  Three more members of “The Capwill Family” written in the Lamb’s book of life!

  If you know someone, some group, community or an entire nation have a heart and name it after them and knead it until you receive your “Yes.”
